About KC Library
Kong Chian Library is located on the High School campus of Hwa Chong Institution, and houses a collection of over 55,000 titles. Officially opened on 21 March 1957 as Kuo Chuan Library, its completion was possible due to a generous donation made by Mr. Lee Kong Chian, a prominent businessman and the chairman of HCI from 1934-1955. The name of the library was changed to Kong Chian Library in honor of Mr. Lee when he passed away in 1967.
This blog, which has been set up to showcase library events, online resources, and book news throughout Singapore, is maintained by the Library Club at HCI’s High School Section.
