These videos are a few years old, but their message remains just as important, if not moreso, today.

    Hello everyone!

I would like to share my comments regarding this post and the three videos about saving the library.

Firstly, I do agree that we should make effort in saving libraries as they are a a place where there is a wealth of information available, and people available to help you.

However, nowadays there are many people around who rely more on their electronic gadgets. For example, the iPhones as they are able to read on them using iBooks, find meaning for words using Dictionary.com and do a lot more. This lead to the decrease in people going to libraries as they feel that whatever they can do in the library, they can also do them elsewhere.

To me, a library is for than just a place where you get resources and borrow books, it is a place where you can meet up to do project, a place which provides you a quiet environment, a place you get in touch with all sort of information some which not even be available on the internet.

Some may argue that printing books cut down trees and thus is less environmentally friendly, I do agree with this but I think that using devices and computer to read is even less environmentally friendly as books can last for a long time .

Let’s promote libraries to our friends and not get ourselves lost in the digital world today.

I agree with the videos that libraries are important as they contain many books and you can find the books that you want in just a single place. Books are important as they provide knowledge and information.A library has almost all the information available on the internet. A library can be called the hub of information. There are so many books to choose from in the library. The amount of books a library has may seem very overwhelming and you might think that It will take a long time to find a book but there are also assistance to help find the books that you are looking for, saving precious time.

The inside of the library has an peaceful atmosphere where you can read the book in peace and not having anybody to disturb you or break your line of thoughts while you are engrossed in reading. A library also has all sorts of resources to help find the information you are looking for.

Many people prefer using electronics to view books online because it is convenient but going down to the local library provides you with the kind of environment for reading books which reading online does not provide.

I wish that more people would go down to the nearest library which has all the information they need and a good environment and not rely on electronics.
