Motivating Kids to Read

When we say that we want to motivate kids to read, this isn’t exactly what we mean (courtesy of Baby Blues):

    Actually, it could be a good way for small kids like Hammie, who sometimes will refuse to read no matter what. When motivating kids to read, we should introduce books related to the area they like. If a child is addicted to role-playing games on the internet, role-playing books(there are such books) can be shown to him.

      It would be good to Hammie to threaten him with physical harm if he didn’t finish the book? 🙂

      I agree that it’s good to tailor book recommendations to a child’s interests, and this is what librarians do all the time.
