Upcoming Events

April will see two big Library-related events: Library Week and World Book Day.

Library Week (12-16 April), which will operate in conjunction with Jing Xian Library on Hwa Chong Institution’s junior college campus, will feature an entire week of activities, including a scavenger hunt through the online e-resources.

World Book (and Copyright) Day is an annual event organized on 23 April by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. HCI will be participating in WBD with talks from local authors, vendor tables for local publishers and independent booksellers, a book swap, and a visit from the National Library’s mobile library bus (MOLLY). There will also be contests for the best microfiction- and poetry-writing, the best class door decorated with a literary theme, and the best costume based on a literary character.

Updates will be added to the blog (and to the Events page) when the specifics for these events are determined, so be sure to check back often!
